簡介(Introduction) 隨著社會需求的不斷變遷，公務員除了在自己的崗位努力為市民大眾服務，更有不少公務員在餘暇參與義工服務，回饋社會。 為了推動各政府部門的同事貢獻專長及關懷社區，社會福利署推廣義工服務督導委員會在2000年起積極鼓勵政府部門成立義工隊，幫助社會上的弱勢社群。 社會福利署義務工作統籌課更致力為公務員義工隊提供諮詢服務及講座活動，讓公務員對義務工作有更深的認識。 公務員事務局一向支持員工加入義工行列，更於2002年6月22日發動「公務員義工計劃啟動典禮」，正式開展《公務員義工計劃》。計劃旨在推動公務員善用他們的知識和經驗，發揮團隊精神，幫助社會上有需要的人，共同建設和諧的香港。 Facing the increasing changes and challenges in the years ahead, civil servants not only commit to deliver professional and quality service to the community, but also devote themselves in various volunteer services to meet the needs of the society. In order to mobilize more civil servants to contribute their expertise and care for the community, the Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service appeals all Government Departments to form their volunteer teams to help those in need, and provides consultancy service on volunteering to seed the development of volunteer teams. Civil Service Bureau fully supports the civil servants to join volunteering and held the Civil Service Volunteer Work Program Launching Ceremony in June 2002. The program aimed at inspiring more civil servants to better use their knowledge and experience in helping the needy and foster team spirit in departments so as to build a harmonious society 公務員義工計劃的發展 (Development of Civil Service Volunteer Work Program) 自計劃推出後，得到各政府部門的積極響應，至今已有60隊公務員義工隊成立，他們不斷努力與各社會服務機構合作，舉辦多項義工服務。 義工計劃有助提升政府部門服務市民的形象，增強員工士氣。 對於員工個人而言，義務工作更可開拓他們的生活空間及建立良好的人際網絡，參與義務工作可以說是一個多嬴的方案。 Up to now, 60 civil servant volunteer teams take initiative to join the program and partner with social service agencies to organize wide spectrum of volunteer programs to help the needy.  Joining volunteer service can achieve a win-win situation for parties concern. The participated volunteer teams would take turn to organize the volunteer service and invite the Cross Over Team Members to participate . Regular meetings would be held to steer the year plan of the volunteer activities. Meanwhile, Highways Department Volunteer Team took the lead to coordinate the project for the first year.
