為表揚傑出青年義工對社會的承擔和貢獻，社會福利署推廣義工服務督導委員會計劃選出熱心服務社會的青年，成為香港傑出青年義工，並安排獲選義工參與連串的嘉許、訓練及交流活動，推廣本港義務工作及成立「香港傑出青年義工協會」。

Introduction

In order to recognize the commitment and contribution of youth volunteers towards society, the Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service of the Social Welfare Department organized the Hong Kong Outstanding Youth Volunteers Scheme 2004-2005. Youth devoted in volunteering will be selected as Hong Kong Outstanding Youth Volunteers, and they will participate in training, promotional work, exchange tour and the formation of the "Hong Kong Outstanding Youth Volunteers' Association".
